V Alba R captured the attention of all at the 2007 Zangerheide Studbook stallion selection. This picture-perfect son of the top international stallion Rubert R showed all the qualities necessary to become a true world-class horse at the selection under saddle.
This very well bred stallion is the only son of the international jumper and Zangersheide approved stallion Rubert R. Rubert R is currently not standing at stud, as Peter Charles is training him for the Hong Kong Olympics. Rubert R has few offspring; however, they are among the treasures of the KWPN selections, free-jumping competitions, and tests under saddle.
V Alba R is out of one of the best Holsteiner jumping lines: 104 a. His dam’s sire, Pit I, passes on refinement through the jumper sire Pilot, as well as the Holsteiner foundation sires Lord and Moltke I.
The renowned Holsteiner line 104 has produced stallions such as S Alba R, Corland, and Celano, who are well-known in the Netherlands. Other well-known stallions out of this line include Acoretto, Aktion Hero, Caballo, Caretano Z, Chico`s Boy, Contendro I and II, Leuthen I and II, Capitano, and Carneval. At least 40 approved stallions have come from the Holsteiner line 104.
After the breeding season of 2009, V Alba R will be taken out of breeding in order to pursue an international career under the saddle of Ben Schröder.
He jumps with lots of scope, demonstrates a good forehand technique, and uses his hindquarters outstandingly. In addition, this excellent jumper is distinguished by his very good canter, which also makes him wonderful to ride.
V Alba R holds great promise for the future!
