Bay, born 2004, height 16.1+ hh (1.67 m), KWPN (breeding family 1715)
Zazou R is the successful product of targeted linebreeding. His pedigree boasts the top Dermie and Nubertha lines, paired with the foundation sires Joost, Abgar xx, and Wagner, and mixed with the blood of the international jumper stallion Cor d’Alme Z (Cor de la Bryere x Alme Z). The sire of this very handsome young stallion is the outstanding international jumper sire Tolan R. Zazou R’s dam, O Rubertha 12, is a half-sister to the international jumper stallion V.I.P., (s. Joost), who was the first horse to be sold in the United States for $1 million. Many very good jumpers come from Zazou R’s Nubertha line, including Rubert R, Balaboeska R, Cuba, Ferrari, Winston, Zebulon, Laurin Rubertha, Evert R, Adventure R, and Royal Beach Cupido, as well as the dressage horse Grand Seigneur.
Last year, Zazou R placed fifth in the KWPN Stallion Selection championships. The still youthful stallion has good rectangular shaped conformation and correct legs. Zazou R has a lot of Thoroughbred blood (46.85%), which makes him very attractive for contributing the blood that is much desired in the current breeding industry.
Zazou R is being shown by Hendrik Jan Schuttert. In the Dutch competition for approved stallions, Zazou R once more showed his impressive natural ability, jumping with super fast reflexes and explosive take off. Zazou R is very easy to ride, jumps carefully, demontrates remarkably good hindquarter technique, and possesses bounless scope.
Zazou R is an excellent stallion for mares that need blood, presence, and scope!
Stationed at the Roelofs Stud in Den Ham.
