KWPN (breeding family 900)
The champion of the KWPN Stallion Show in ‘s Hertogenbosch 2008, Arthos R (Namelus R x S.Adermie 2 by Mermus R x Zeus) has truly met high expectations. He was admitted to the KWPN studbook, after an astounding performance test which he completed with high marks.
The stallion judging committee described Arthos R as a very complete show jumper, a stunning athlete, blessed with very good basic gaits and an enormous show jumping ability. The jumping traits were rewarded with 8.5 almost exclusively, which totaled the amazing amount of 84 points.
At the mandatory foal inspection in 2010 a tremendous crop of Arthos R foals was presented to the KWPN stallion commission. According to the breeding advice of the KWPN judges Arthos R will not only improve the show jumping capacity, he will also produce very rideable offspring. The superb talent for show jumping of Arthos R is expressed by his extremely high breeding value (157).
In 2009 Arthos R became the great champion of the 4 year old show jumpers at CSI Geesteren. Later that year he confirmed his quality ending up second in the Dutch national competition (VION Cup). During the KWPN stallion competition Arthos R was one of the outstanding performers, staying clear in all four qualifying rounds. Now Ben Schröder is preparing Arthos R for a career in international show jumping.
The dam line of Arthos R produced - amongst others - the Grand Prix dressage horse Neruda, the international show jumpers Trouble Shooter (Corland x Ladalco), La Belle de Jour (Libero H x Joost), Gadermie (Joost x Abgar xx) and Las Marismas (Coriander x Joost), as well as the national show jumper King Kadermie (Ladalco x Joost). Having produced three offspring at (inter)national level, grand dam N.Adermie 2 (s.Zeus) received the KWPN predicate ‘prestatie’ (‘performance’). At the KWPN Stallion Show 2011 a half-brother to Arthos R (s.Mr. Blue) was selected for the performance test.
