The champion of the KWPN Stallion Show in ‘s Hertogenbosch 2008, Arthos R (Namelus R x S.Adermie 2 by Mermus R x Zeus) has truly met high expectations. He was admitted to the KWPN studbook, after an astounding performance test which he completed with high marks.
The stallion judging committee described Arthos R as a very complete show jumper, a stunning athlete, blessed with very good basic gaits and an enormous show jumping ability. The jumping traits were rewarded with 8.5 almost exclusively, which totalled the amazing amount of 84 points. Hendrik Jan Schuttert now prepares Arthos R for a career in show jumping.
In direct line the following sport horses come from the maternal family of Arthos R: Neruda (Haarlem x Ladalco), the Grand Prix dressage horse ridden by Michael Barisone who was the Olympic reserve for Hong Kong, Trouble Shooter (Corland x Ladalco), La Belle de Jour (Libero H x Joost) and Las Marismas (Coriander x Joost) – all of them performing in international show jumping – and the national show jumper King Kadermie (Ladalco x Joost).
Grand dam N Adermie 2 (Zeus) was recently awarded with the prestatie (‘performance’) predicate.
Hendrik Jan Schuttert is very successful in show jumping with Arthos R’s full sister Wicked R. She also has a beautiful conformation and draws the attention with her superb way of jumping.
Before Arthos R participated in the performance test, Roelofs Stud inseminated 8 mares with him. The first Arthos R offspring is expected to be born in April 2009.
Champion Arthos R approved with top marks
This week Arthos R (Namelus R out of S.Adermie 2 by Mermus R x Zeus) finished his performance test with very high marks for both the basic gaits and the jumping traits. The stallion selection commission described Arthos R as a true champion and a complete show jumper.
Being rewarded almost exclusively with 8.5 for the jumping traits and ending up with a superb total of 84 points, Arthos R met high expectations.
New, even higher expectations surround the impressive champion of the 2008 KWPN Stallion selection. Roelofs Stud covered 8 mares with Arthos’ semen before he was sent off to the performance test. Is Arthos R, beside being absolutely stunning and highly talented, also a good progenitor? The first foals by Arthos R will be born in April 2009. Roelofs Stud is very confident that they will look like their father.
